Sit Happens is Hosting A One-Day Silent Meditation Retreat at The Diamond Willow Artisan Retreat Center in Turner Valley, AB
Saturday, October 8th, 2011 :: Sit Happens is presenting a one day retreat to be held at The Diamond Willow Artisan Retreat Center located at 224133 Highway 546 4.5 kilometers west of Turner Valley. Click here for map. The day will consist of sitting meditation, walking meditation and cleaning meditation. This is a silent retreat.
What to bring: a zafu or bench, zabuton, gomden, mat or blanket. Chairs are available.
Vegetarian lunch and basic refreshments will be served.
The cost for the day is $20. At the end of the day, participants are invited to stay for Indian dinner. The cost for dinner is $10.

Shamatha Meditation training (Calm Abiding Meditation) will be conducted by Kusho Lobsang Dhamchoe, spiritual director of Gaden Samtenling Tibetan Meditation Society in Edmonton since 2000.Kusho Lobsang Dhamchoe studied Buddhist philosophies for more than 30 years at Namgyal Monastery in India which is the Principle Monastery of His Holiness the Dalai Lama..
